In partnership with 20th Century FOX Television and the Fox Broadcasting Company, The company P is presenting its first US production “Dollplay,” an online promotional vehicle for Joss Whedon’s (creator of “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”) “Dollhouse.”
“Dollplay” is an interactive participation drama inspired by the show and its characters. By viewing and interacting with a series of webisodes, the audience follows and influences the story on a video blog updated daily.
The participating viewers communicate through video with the young girl Hazel (starring Hailee Araya). Together they solve problems and dig into a mystery deeply entrenched in the Dollhouse mythology.
The webisodes are shot and edited every night, to be able to respond to the audience the next day. This is a world unique format, that allows for rich interaction. User generated content and produced material come together to form the narrative.
